John, my guess is you’ll get a much better response from a Ford specific site, especially a Super Duty site. You’re asking questions about a specific make and model and I doubt you’ll see many owners on this site with like vehicles like yours.

Thanks, I shall try another site! I took the truck in today to the only one of our several Ford dealers here who seem to know (or admit to know) what I am describing! The dealer who knows about the sound says 'they will 'fix' it but in awhile I will experience the same thing again, so... just ignore, forget about it ... won't do any harm!!'. Will see what they do today & how long it will last. Nephew experiencing same sound on highway speeds with his Ford truck. If the noise wasn't so obvious when at times while driving on the highway, it would be easier to 'ignore', but?!!
