We recently renovated and have a 850 sq. ft. space to finish off. Its one large room with with a 8 x 8 wine cellar, pool table area, and theater area. In the middle is where the bar/kitchenette will go. We have 11' to work with, but can make it shorter if necessary. What I'm struggling with is what type of microwave to go with? I'm thinking a microwave above the sink makes the most sense, since I already had a 3' wide fridge, 2' wide dishwasher, and 2' wide sink cabinet. I'd like some storage for kids food, dishes, etc., so thinking microwave should be up top. What I'm stumped on is what type of microwave do I get?

Over the range - has the shallow depth to match upper cabinets, but would be odd to have the light/exhaust that's designed for a range, which won't be there

Counter-top - looked today and many of these are massive. Some are small but may look odd sitting freely on a shelf, and the ones with a trim kit look odd since the bezel on those are massive.

Built In - very expensive, larger than I need, and many open like an over, which would be odd above the sink.

Any suggestions? I visited a appliance store today and discussed with my cabinet maker, and neither seemed to know what to do...
