I'd go with a soft white, to keep things light and bright, and given that the floor is darker. It's a beautiful floor, btw!

I think you have to do light cabinets with all of that dark flooring. Plus the fact that it's a basement ... if you do too much dark, it's going to feel cave like. Not to mention in general, kitchens need to feel clean and that's difficult to do with dark colors.

With that floor a nice white for sure .

Love that floor! Yes, keep cabinetry light and soft. Not only will it keep the space light, but it will contrast compliment that rich dimensional floor.
