Hi all, some of the leaves on our large traveler's palms were damaged during a slip down to 31 degrees earlier this year. They damaged ones are now pretty much all brown but the problem is they are scattered throughout the plant, e.g. counting from the left side, leaf #3, 4, 7, etc. are damaged /dead and the ones in between are fine/healthy.

Normally one prunes these plants on the outside only. I am thinking maybe I should leave the petiole but cut the leaf part off for the brown ones? I am guessing it would be a very bad idea to try to prune down too low on some of the inner most leaves but any advice or past experience is appreciated.

Visually I'm imagining these guys are going to look a bit "off" no matter what I do until they flush out a bunch of new leaves this spring/summer but what I'd like to do now is make sure the plants are in the best shape possible for the growing season.
