Thanks, Cecily. I thought so at first, too, but it's different. I don't know all the technical terms, but the leaves only reach out in two directions - left and right, but not front and back. Daylilies make a round bunch, if I'm correct, and reach out in all directions. And I think daylily leaves all come out of the ground. These leaves sprout from higher and higher in the leaves before them. Hope that makes sense! I'm attaching another photo that might help.

Could be a spider wort AKA , spider lily, Tradescantia virginiana. If so, you will soon see tiny blue, pale blue flowers.

Daylily. Some do branch out like this. There are also clumpier ones (like the Stella’s). Spiderwort can look similar, but usually has more blue/green in their leaves than daylilies. :)

Thanks to you all. I think I'll have to wait and see if it blooms. I'm in my second spring here and did not notice this last spring since I was working on the beds around the house to get them in order.
