Nice house, not so nice strip mine.

After looking at all the images in Zillow and Google Maps, I see it is a beautiful oasis. The professional photography helps. Assuming it was there before the other houses nearby, the neighborhood, or perhaps the first few houses built nearby, is a good example of home design NOT taking into consideration the factors outside the boundaries of the site. The strip mine is a good example of poor urban planning or zoning.

Looks to me like two sorta Craftsman houses which collided with one another, and then after the fusion the front of the front house was sadly remodeled...and the rear house had a cancerous bumpo that developed in reaction...

That is a lot of house. How many kitchens are in there?

My favorite part is the pressed copper ceiling in the dining room. Would that be the original from 1908?

I think the copper mine is next door. Plus it was built by by the Calumet & Arizona Mining Co.

If I was going to buy a house in Mexico, I would pick something closer to the coast! ;-)

A time capsule with lots of potential, unfortunately not in that location, location, location!

Becky - It must have been used a rooming house with each one bedroom "apartment" having a small kitchen.

It's really more Arts and Crafts than Craftsman. It's kind of a neat house - would need a LOT of work, and the location leaves much to be desired at this time.

Built in 1908, and Bisbee is a nice place to live.

I'd buy it if I had the spare million.

chispa, that's what I was thinking. Probably one of the few ways to keep it occupied and pay for the upkeep.

Not bad, and does not appear to need a lot of work. I'd want to replace tiled kitchen counters. Perhaps remove the back bump out that says EAT.

Prospective B&B?

It is a pretty jaw-dropping sight when you look at the aerial view in Google maps. Hope you didn't put any money down yet... ;-)

If you live in any of the old mining towns, you have tailings piles. What this house also has is a view across the rest of town to the mountains and valleys on the other side.

As a B&B it could make money.
