Unknown melons

I had grown these melons last summer from seed on my garden. I had found this seed not knowing what it was. Two plants yielded these. I picked them right at last frost. They ripened somewhat yellow. Tried eating them, not very sweet. Any idea what they could be? How do you ripen melons? I read if picked they will not ripen well. If left on the vine they are super good? Our climate , zone 2 most times ,we run out of days for that.
