I think a big colorful rug would help bring some warmth and life to the room. From the rug pick some colors for your throw pillows. Then you can have a palette to consider your art for the wall. If you had a favorite art piece then you could go the other way. Pick colors from the art for your rug and pillows. But either way you need a color palette to work from.

I think your wall color is too close to your tile color and it makes the room look bleak. I would take it one shade darker and potentially change color also. At the very least, an accent wall for the far wall in a jewel tone. From there some art above the couch and some pillows and a blanket in the color you pick for your accent.

If you paint the whole room, I’d go with something warmer to match the undertone of the tiles and darker to provide contrast and warmth. Maybe edgecomb Gray or balboa mist.
If you do an accent wall I would do a soft deep blue which will contrast nicely with your ceiling. Then accent with feminine colors like yellow and peach.

All the advice above is great but you need lamps too. If you just rely on overhead lighting it makes the space look officey and commercial.

I'm suggesting dark gray and white striped drapery panels for the windows.

Perhaps you want to keep it in neutral colors? If so you could try a rug, pillows, art, throws, and a lamp like you see in our design here:

I’d start creating a design concept for this room.

The sofa sectional is too dark, I’d consider new seating, perhaps a sofa with 2 upholstered chairs, a coffee table, end tables, maybe a console table too. Throw pillows cozy up a space. (not overly done)

Your area rug (10x12) will ground the space, table lighting will offer a design element and a function, art will personalize the room.

A new wall color will direct the color palette and let you start a fresh new style for your new home.
