I am 47 years old and have had 2 strokes. I have difficulties getting in the shower/bath by myself. I would love to replace with the walk in shower only to create a spa like look. My small laundry room/1/2 bath is on the other side of the wall of the master bath. I would love to expand both.

Very easy solution,we convert these all the time The main goal is to not seethe toilet when the door is open only attainable half of the time due to size limitations.put a nice walk in shower where your tub is ,destroy the walls shower and clear that area ,turn the toilet with the back against the wall where you walk in ,and lastly get a nice big vanity with two sinks .. Nice project.PS We almost always move /eliminate the plumbing in a bathroom Reno anyways.Never let the plumbing dictate where things go.

We put one in the master bath nearly 20 years ago and it still runs fine, but it seldom gets used. We have 2 hot water heaters in our house; one serves the utility room and master bath and one for elsewhere. The jacuzzi depletes the hot water heater so by the end of filling the jacuzzi I'm running cold water. We recently redid our bath and I opted to keep it since it's the only "tub" on the main floor. During the reno we put in a new tub faucet and now the water runs in so slow it takes forever to fill. Now I wish we would have taken the jacuzzi out. We could have used the space for storage or something else.
