Boswell Construction built a beautiful, highly detailed custom home for us in Hollywood, CA. Jon Mut, Boswell's owner, offered assistance during the planning and design stages of the project and his team was able to bring their knowledge of material/labor costs into early discussions about design and budget. Throughout construction, Boswell's communication was terrific. Correspondence occurred daily through conventional email/phone calls and questions about design intent were always resolved prior to building. All of our expectations were met with Boswell. Jon, Ray and the Boswell team did an amazing job. This project was a very tough one using a lot of advanced engineering principals all with a very modern design feel. We had a false start with another contractor who wasted 12+ months on permits and wild subcontractor bids and constant starts and stops. We were at our wits end and decided to call Boswell. They did exactly what was asked. Very rigid planning and stuck to a tight schedule. The craftsmanship was superb and looked exactly like it had always even there. Ray especially did an amazing job staying very personally involved with every detail and in the end this was worth the wait. Our kids still miss Ray and it is strange to not see the scissor lift in front of our house but I will absolutely be using them again.

My wife and I hired Boswell Construction to do a fairly major renovation of a 1978 built house in the Hollywood hills. The renovation involved building a new exterior staircase into the hillside connecting 3 floors of the home, a brand new kitchen, 4 new bathrooms, a new fireplace hearth and tiling and new wood flooring throughout the home. We are extremely happy with Boswell and the work they did. They came in on time, on budget and change orders were handled in a very calm and reasonable manner with no stress. There were a few unexpected situations which arose, as I would imagine is common when renovating an existing home, and they were always dealt with professionally by Jon at Boswell as well as the other team members. The thing I like most about this company is that they really want their customers to be not just satisfied with the result but they want them to be really happy with the result. And this philosophy is present at all levels of the staff, from Jon at the top to the on-site construction manager to the guy who is putting in the dry wall. It's just in the company culture and you can feel it in all interactions at all levels. I'm a big fan of Boswell and would definitely use them again in the future.
