My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

A dream and talented gifted contractor!

I'm partial but my uncle worked as our contractor for this massive project, which included removing a huge double sided fire place and complete remodel of the living, dining, and kitchen area. He worked and I learned along side for 3 months. We are so happy to have gained a much more functional space for our family.




We still have a few more finishing touches- my dad is building two shelves for the back.

    I'm curious if you had to remove the chimney and if you were left with a hole in the roof?

      Yes- Our house is a ranch. We took the chimney down from the roof down. The fireplace was massive. Took about a solid two days to get the chimney down through the roof and down to the ceiling of the living room. It then took about four more days to get the rest out. My uncle patched the roof- It was about a 5 by 6ft

      Very inspiring. I have a fireplace with a similar skirt which makes our family room too narrow. I would love to remove it.

      Yes- our fireplace was two sided and had the same skirting on both sides front to back the it was 71/2 ft deep and spanned 12 ft across. It was a ton of useless pace. We are so glad to have the space to all sit around our table.
