We have a fairly large backyard with a retaining wall that sort of cuts the depth in half. We are thinking of expanding our deck by pushing the retaining wall back and putting a paver patio down. If we do that, there will still be a long stretch of narrow space on the upper tier that is about 12.5 feet wide and 75 feet long. Currently there are some planter boxes there and dirt (you can see in the picture).

I've thought about putting grass down on that stretch, but I'm not entirely sure that's what we want. I'd love to get some ideas on what to do with that long, narrow stretch. Any ideas would be great. Thank you!
