More than the window I notice that you have a lot of upper cabinetry that is making the space appear crowded in either design. I would consider scaling back on the upper cabinets if you can to give it a more open, less heavy feel. Consider no uppers to the left side of sink, or instead open shelving on that wall, or glass front cabinets.

With window at sink, you don’t need that other window. Just make sure you add good undercabinet lighting.

Personally I think the window on the left looks awkward. And I love windows! But it’s crammed into the corner, and lighting up the side of the cabinet that is to the left of the fridge. A window over a sink is always a huge plus. Is there a possibility for the kitchen sink window being lower and also bigger in size? If the window to the right has to stay, try a multi tiered herb plant shelf on the wall next to it.

No window in the corner. The version with the cabinets there looks better. BUT please do not place the range just to the left on the refrigerator (version 2). You will need that counter space for taking things out of the refrigerator and it would be a traffic nightmare having them adjacent to each other like that.

Also, I would avoid the microwave above the range. It’s undesirable if it can be avoided. You could either put it in the island or design an open upper cabinet for it.

A good KD would be worth working with before you spend a chunk of $$$ doing this.

i think now is a great time to empty some of your upper cabinets to see if you need them all. your kitchen will feel so much larger, and the second window wont look shoe horned in.

of all of the 'trends' happening, i think folks waking up to the idea that not every inch of upper wall space needs a cabinet stuck on it is the best! and look at the money you'll save, those boxes arent free.

HI -- Close the corner window for more cabinet and enlarge the other window by not having an upper cabinet left of the sink . No open shelves just a bigger window . Do you have a pantry in your plan ?

The first thing I notice is that you do not have proper ventilation for your stove. Under no circumstance should you be putting a microwave over a cooking unit. Instead look at putting the cooktop on the outside wall and getting a ventilation system (hood) to the outside. I would then put a microwave & wall oven elsewhere for a more custom look. You also need to consider drawers over all the cabinet doors. The row of doors is very outdated both in terms of function and in terms of visual appeal.

And you would have to be the jolly green giant to look out that window by the sink, that is NOT a proper window by the sink for anyone to be able to see out of.

I would keep the window and instead of the cabinets next to the fridge, i would do open shelving. Or move the range back over and do a beautiful vent hood.

I am not a designer, but with help of a designer, I would check to see if you could make both of those windows larger or merge them into one large window removing those uppers. I would cook all day with that type of setting.
