Back splash.. linear or fluid

last modified: 8 years ago

Hi still working on this bath remodel. I need some opinions on the backsplash. We selected the quartz, shower tile and floor tile and then shopped for backsplash. Found one I LOVED! ordered it and when it arrived discovered it was very free flowing. I did this with designer not on my own. The backsplash will need to be cut down extensively to fit in the space behind sink area and now due to its size and cost no longer works as accent in the shower. So designer picked a different accent for shower, I agreed and it is installed. Looks good not a problem. Now I am wondering if we should just use the same shower accent in full size sheet as the vanity back splash so it will coordinate with shower accent better. Opinions on which to use for vanity.

I appreciate your input so Thanks!

vanity area for back splash between bottom of mirror frame and counter.

Shower trim is linear calacatta Gold marble.

Choice of 2 back splashes. The framed one is how we thought it would appear.

This is how it looks in reality. We would have to cut all the pieces down and would have only the smaller inner circles. So the cut would be just to the right and left of the smaller intricate circle, losing the larger outer design. referrence above framed picture of it. Basically we would reduce this to a 6-7 inch tile border so we would loose some of the effect of the entwined beauty of the tile

Larger sample of tile used as shower trim. we could use this on backsplash much easier and would match shower. More tailored maybe less dated as time went on.
