You don't currently have room for an island. Are you planning on removing any walls?

Sorry but I don't think your kitchen is large enough to accommodate what you want to do.

The only way to do this - if I correctly estimated the dimension top to bottom at 127" - is to go with minimum aisles between sink counter and island and behind island seating and a very narrow island that offers seating only, no storage.

127" top to bottom

- 25.5" cab and counter depth

- 42" minimum recommended aisle between sink counter and island

- 44" seating aisle

-------

15" island

And it wouldn't be wide enough to accommodate more than 1 stool.

177" side to side

- 25.5" cab and counter depth (not depth of fridge and range, which are going to be deeper than that)

- 84" 2 minimum recommended aisles at 42" each

---------

42" island

You need 24" minimum width per person.

And that length is only possible if you reduce the walls' depths at each end of your kitchen.

The peninsula in the photo below is approximately the size of island (likely deeper than 15") you'd have.

Not every kitchen can accommodate an island, especially an island with seating and unfortunately, your kitchen is one of them. There may be other ways to add seating to your kitchen but I don't think an island is the best solution.

Here's a more practical way to add counter seating to your kitchen.

You get 3 seats and storage. It would be similar to this:

It is in the direct path from door to bathroom, unfortunately, but short of removing walls and more major reconfiguration, there aren't many options for you.
