I would think a new smart blu-ray for around $60 would work for you, move your ROKU to another set. Blu-ray will still play DVDs, I'm pretty sure CDs. In our area, Spectrum has decided that if you want their service you have to have their box - for each set you want to view. Digital adapters were abandoned. ROKU and Smart TVs however run the Spectrum App. I have a perfectly good Sony Trinitron, its been rendered useless by technology. Might try a ROKU on it.

When I got my first HD TV (Samsung), a Samsung Blu-Ray player was included with it. It wouldn't play CDs (I'm not sure if it was supposed to, but since I had dedicated CD player, it wasn't important to me). Make sure your new player plays everything you want it to.

The only model I looked at, was Samsung BD-J5100 Blu-ray Player. The specs say it will play CDs. It has coax audio out (no idea how that works). My Samsung Smart TV uses fiber optic audio out. Luckily my stereo has a fiber port for input.

Are you connecting directly to your tv, or going through a stereo/receiver? Ate they both newer? You’ll want to make sure the new player has outputs that will work with them. I would definitly recommend a bluray over dvd to help future proof it for as long as possible. You can still play dvd’s in a bluray player.
