Mirror too low?

Hi, do you think this mirror is hung at the correct height? According to the following professionals, the center of wall hangings should be anywhere between 57” to 60”. The center of the circular part of the mirror is at 58” and, if you include the ring, 60”. Not sure if it seems low just because my husband is tall? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

In addition, what's the purpose of the mirror in this location? Is it to check yourself before exiting the house? What is reflected by it? Should be something beautiful or interesting and worth seeing twice since it will be doubled by the mirror. I would hang it high enough that the adults in the household can see their face in it without bending down. Perhaps it would do more good above the toilet in the powder room next door...

It’s purely decorative and reflects our living room. Just curious if the height looks strange.

It should definitely be at standing adult face height, and I am wondering if this particular mirror has enough going on decoratively to pull off being a decorative item. The frame is thin and plain, which makes it look more like a functional mirror. Would it be possible to put a more decorative mirror here? A tall, thin rectangular mirror that fits nicely in that space may look much better.

That hanging advice is for art and IMO a mirror really needs to reflect something worth seeing twice and in this case a piece of art would be a much better choice.
