Help with sofa purchase - which one goes best

I just ordered new chairs (leather and wood - the first on the left. I can't crop the photo)

and would like to add a sofa and loveseat to the living room. The living room branches off the dining room. The walls are painted hc-45. I have gold and crystal sconces where the sofa would go and a huge framed gold plated art. https://www.houzz.com/products/elegant-lighting-2800w2g-rc-wall-sconces-maria-theresa-prvw-vr~32212990

I was looking at the following sofa but was wondering if the chrome nailheads are totally off or they could go with the gold above.

Also, I might consider these as well

Any suggestions, ideas would be greatly appreciated as I would have to make the decision asap. Thanks

I was surprised by your sofa choices because they seem SO MODERN compared to your chair and sconce choices. I am not sure how you plan to tie them together. Personally - not to be negative - I just don't think any of them work nicely together. If I had to pick between the choices, I would select the blue velvet couch and seek to change the nailheads. I do think if you have the time, you should look up your style on Houzz and find some inspiration photos. These are big, expensive purchases, and you want to get them right!

Appreciate your quick response. Yes I know that the chairs and sconces are more traditional and sofas modern. I believe my style is transitional. The dining room is near the kitchen which is modern. I guess I'm trying to blend the two.

If I don't find another sofa that I like with brass nailheads do I have to change the chrome or could it pass?

Are you saying the chairs will be in the dining room away from the sofa, or are you planning on the two items together? I think you could keep the chrome. And if the chairs are near the sofa, maybe you can add a little silver bling to the chair with a small pillow or something like that... I have seen a lot of gold and silver being mixed these days, so there aren't as many rules...

Hi. Transitional is not mixing modern and traditional. Transitional is more of a timeless design. Furniture lines are simple and sophisticated, featuring either straight lines or rounded profiles.

What you are talking about is Eclectic. This is a style also. I find Eclectic a little more unsettling than transitional or modern or traditional.

For now, until you figure this out, I would advise you to put the chair order on hold. Let's figure out exactly what you want. You are spending a lot of money and want to get this right.

I would recommend all traditional furniture with a few modern accents or all modern furniture with a few traditional accents. But, if you are buying new furniture, I don't recommend those chairs you chose with a modern sofa.

Here are some questions I have to help you think this through.

-why is your kitchen modern? Did you move into the home and it had a modern kitchen or did you choose that modern kitchen because you like that style?

-what style would you choose if you could start over? Lean in that direction. Never buy furniture you don't like, simply to match the home.

-if it weren't for the kitchen, what style would you want?

-can you please post a photo of the kitchen? The dining room and living room posted would be helpful also, including the art.

-Could you please post a photo of a living room/dining room you like?

Here is a traditional chandelier with modern furniture. This looks good because the home has traditional features but everything else is modern. This is they way you might go.

I am waiting for the furniture in that picture to start singing and dancing! (Beauty and the Beast reference for the Disney-deprived) The Charleston sofa would be a better starting point than a chair.
