Hi! I wanted to start a little garden on my balcony and have no clue what to start and when! I have a very open balcony that gets a lot of light and I live around Tacoma, WA. I was thinking herbs maybe tomatoes to start? Not really into flowers, more of things that I can harvest and use to cook. Any tips/tricks/recommendations?

Don't know if this really helps any but it's a fairly good size. Enough that we can have a bbq and some chairs on it and still have room to move around.
