That looks great for winging it!

Per code, you have to have a minimum of one inch from the end of the facet tip to the top of the sink. This rule keeps water from siphoning back into the faucet.

Thanks. It seems like people usually have it higher than that. I wonder about splashing.

Yes...for an undermount sink...you want enough room to get your hands under it...but not splashing...no set rules.....:0)

trescool -- I am trying to figure out this very thing using the Kohler Purist line. Did you ever decide on how high up from an undermount sink to install your wall mounted faucets? Did you install directly onto the wall or on a backsplash? Would love to see pics if you have any too! Thanks!

Haven't installed it yet. And actually I think the longer spout looks weird. Too long. It would go across half of the sink. I'm going with the 6 3/4" instead.

I read somewhere that spouts should be about 3" above countertop, but I see some that are much higher. I plan to use a mosaic tile to the ceiling and will install the faucet thru that. I will post pics when it's installed. Maybe three weeks.
