It doesn't look like you have sufficient space for a rug under the table. All chair legs should be fully on the carpet when a diner scoots back to leave the table. Because of the window wall, it doesn't look like this is possible.

Rather than an area rug to introduce color, consider some different window coverings.

No rug. Change chair seats, or get some,fully upholstered chairs in warm tones. Change the dead white window treatments to a roman shade in a light neutral, .........a woven wood would look nice.

No rug!! Its a heckofa lot easier to clean up dropped scrambled eggs or spaghetti on a hard floor than a rug!! And believe me...it happens with only adults too! Plus, that rug is waaay too small for that table. Get some pretty blinds...woven rattan Roman.

Thanks everyone! It would be a lot easier to not have to try to find a rug. I’m over it! The windows came with those white fixtures on top of them. Can I still put pounds or curtains on there? Can y’all provide pics of what I should use?

The rug is too small for that table and chairs because the chairs are hanging off the edge. Imagine a person trying to scoot his/her chair toward the table and having to jump it over the rug edge.
I like the rug, but maybe it would work better in the entry hall, the bedroom hall, stair landing, or under the cocktail table.

Too small and you realy do not have the space for a proper sized one inn fact the table is really too big for the space.

Adding a nice curtain and matching the chair with it would make all the difference.

Based on the photo you posted, I think you will like these ideas.

It doesn't look like you can fit a rug in the space, but perhaps you can fit artwork, a new chandelier, or window treatments?
