Lots of the Chinese quartz is fine.

Most Quartz is made in China. MSI has factories in Brazil, India, China, Italy, and a few other small countries and Cambria is made in the USA.

If you need options that are not from China. Your fabricator who you order and install from should have experience with quartz from there so it should not be a problem.

Silestone - Europe

Technistone - Europe

Caesarstone - Israel (original from and will supply when USA can not manufacturer)

Quantum Quartz - Europe

Smartstone - Europe

etc, etc

Most of the non branded products are out of china... nothing with a brand on the reverse of the slabs will be most likely out of china and we would suggest avoiding. They are cheap for a reason, they use inferior raw materials, stain, uv damage and do not carry the after sales service the large international manufacturers have or the QA

Europe sounds good, but a lot like “Chinese” type countries are from Europe

EU has a set of particular standards for anything made in the EU. Plus everything that comes out of Europe only uses the best raw materials. Spain, Czeh etc are some of the best products on the market.

Coming from Europe, I would say everything looks good on the other side... Not really. A lot better design, I agree. Are materials and quality always better? Very good example Czech.... I notice you have something against Caesarstone, it is made in the good USA, same as Cambria... I did not chose it because of this, it is countertop, I, m not married for it...

I personal have nothing against Caesarstone other than it is not the best product on the market, actually some of the caesarstone range is still manufactured in Israel not the USA. In fact I would take my hat of to Caesarstone for its marketing and brand awareness. Better raw materials = less staining, fingerprinting more stable products.. so yes is the answer.

As for Brands like Cambria, Silestone etc they are great products, that have 10-20% more density, a better finish, less susceptible to fingerprinting and staining etc.

Plus most of importantly are leaps and bound ahead of Caesarstone with after sales service etc.

I look the tech specs, they are public. Show me where is 10-20 % less density? For the life of the countertop I think I’ll get tired of looking at the same thing before something happen to either generic China brand or Cambria. The technology is out there, patented or not. All quartz should have the same cost coming from the same manufacturer, but they are not due to supply and demand , state. Where are these quartz countertops 45-50 dollars per sq ft installed in Seattle area - non existent...again not talking for remnants...

Went to a slab yard and saw Prism Quartz by MGX / Minagrex. Has anyone heard of the brand Prism? Is it durable? I cant find a lot of info about it

for my kitchen countertop, considering going with the Radianz Quartz which is from Samsung, Korea. Any pros and cons on this product?
