I don’t know you or your husband, but if my cutie said he really didn’t like something, I would remove or change it. He has only registered a negative a couple of times in all the years we have been together, so when he does, I know he really doesn’t like it.

That said, I don’t like them on either side of the mirror; would like to see some lamps on the buffet instead.

If you do keep them, hang them with the grouping over the sofa.

I side with the husband, mainly due to the associations with pagan masks. Meanwhile, you should lower the grouping over the sofa. The bottom row of frames should be 5" above the sofa back. Place them one frame's width apart.

I think the masks would be better hung one above the other on a narrow wall space All of your art needs lowering.I would replace the mirror above the buffet with a piec of art maybe something tribal to pull in the masks.

I can't see the masks well enough to tell if I like them, but I would not use anything between them, like the mirror. I also would not use them if my husband didn't like them. It is his home, too.

Where is the front wall and the dinner wall? Is there any where they can go in the foyer? In this way, your hubby does not have to look at them all the time.
