Software for an embroidery machine

I am in desperate need of the software for a Singer Quantum Futura CE200 embroidery machine. I found this machine in a thrift store. It sews very well and has a good number of decorative stitches built-in. What I did not realize at the time I bought it was that it can also connect to your computer to make real embroidery work. I was heartbroken when I found I that I could not access that part without the software. What is even more gut wrenching is that the lady behind the counter told me that she was sure there were cd's with it when it came into the store. The local Singer repairman tells me that Singer doesn't sell it anymore so the only way to get it is if I can find someone who is willing to part with theirs. I'm thinking about people whose machine no longer works or something like that. Do any of you know where I might find the software? I have checked Singer sites and Craig'sList . I can buy the whole setup, machine and all on Ebay but I have already got the machine so I don't want to do that. Any other suggestions or possibly one of YOU that can help. I also wonder if those cd's can be copied?

I want to do a follow-up on my experience with this machine. As I said before I found the basic installation discs on Ebay. I got actual discs and they work fine. The 2nd purchase I made was also on Ebay. It showed 5 packages with CD's that had all the programs I wanted. I waited over a week past the supposed delivery date only for the seller to tell me it was a DOWNLOAD in my email. (No CD's) After downloading these files over 5 times and also removing them and downloading again (I thought possibly I had done it in the wrong sequence) Each time I got a message. The first one requested that I enter the ACCESS CODE. (Yeah the code he didn't send me.)I messaged him and told him the trouble I was having. He told me to remove the files I bought first because his had all of that in it. So I did that and then got another message that was headed "CD COPS that told me to load the CD. (Yeah the CD that he didn't send me because it was a download.) I messaged him again and he told me that maybe my firewall was blocking it. This computer in not on-line so I removed it. Same thing over again. CD COPS. Lastly he told me that something must be wrong with my computer because no one else had had problems. He also said that since I was not online with it that it couldn't get updates. I told him that I had done everything he had suggested, worked for a week trying to get this running, and was getting aggravated. I also said that I believed that the CD COP thing meant that this was an illegal download. I told him that I think I had earned a refund and if he didn't agree that I would contact Ebay. Within 5 minutes (FIVE min.) I got a email that said that my PayPal account had been reimbursed the full amount!!! When you feel you are right......hold your ground.!!!

The problem is that it runs with some really OLD versions of Windows. But you can download the files.

Download one of each and find a computer geek to help you get it running -there are several ways to do it but I'm not going to try to walk you through that process.

Or get an old Install disk for Windows XP or Windows2000 (the others are crap) and set up cheap laptop as the control machine.

Thank you Lazy. I do happen to have an older desktop running XP. Since my post I have found an installation disc for that model on Ebay. I think I have also found another set of discs that include the ones I have seen sold with the complete machine. I think I will order them also. Then all I have to find is a good deal on the hoops. (I hope that is all) Thanks for you help.

Check on Amazon for the hoops. My Brother machine will only stitch using a 5x7 hoop so check what size hoop your machine will accept.

Frances, have you considered trying Embird with your machine? My friend recently bought one and really likes it. They have a demo version so one could try it first. https://www.annthegran.com/prd/dlsoftware/embird-software/embird-software/1/embirdbasic.aspx
