SF BAY AREA CROTON growing.

I had Mammy last over two years..the narrow wavy leafed Croton. Last winters heavy cold rains did it in. This year I'm trying "Curly Boy" and Petra..2 Petra's in one pot to make a statement NOW. The key in the bay area is as much warm sun as possible..and in winter keep them on the dry side. Porch, overhang, that also double as protection from frost. If you have an overhang or warm Patio, that's great.

Most think of them as an annual..but a local florist has some a few years old as she puts them out during business ours in a cute wheelbarrow, then puts them in a unheated shed for the night. They look good to me.
