Help Choosing a whole house color!

I am building a house and the builders standard is SW Kilim Beige. I need to decide if I stay with that or pick a another whole house color by next week. I am leaning towards Whole Wheat or Camel back. I really like Camel back, but my concern is that it might be too dark for the whole house. Should I have them paint the entire house Whole Wheat and I accent with Camel back? Or, should I keep the standard Kilim Beige and accent with Camel back? My furniture is Pottery Barn tan couches with leather recliners, dark wood with metal accents. Pillows are gold, Red, cream some green. Look past my cute dogs and you can see my couch and coffee table. LOL

Oh, I think I have to go with Whole Wheat. What a lovely color! If you love the CamelBack, I would put that in your bed/bath/and perhaps utility room, and put the whole wheat on the ceilings there and trim--if a 2 tone walls and ceiling is permitted without additional expense?? Than as you suggested, go with the Whole Wheat everywhere else and just trim in the camelback, including maybe all the interior doors, if they are painted? SO MUCH better than the beige, IMHO. Lovely ideas you picked. You will be much happier with that than the beige. It is just not as "rich" a color as the other 2 you have brought up. Good luck!

Beige is a flesh tone, with a pink hue. I think the Camel Back and the Whole Wheat are more of a golden color, and therefore versatile. Of course, the type of natural light available or the type of lighting you install can change the way they look, just as the accessories or flooring will. I like using the SW website to find complimentary colors that will blend with your choice for the walls of your house. It's nice to have walls in a tone that can work with other hues so if you want to bring in a different color of accessory or drape or upholstery it is versatile to that. I think these colors will make a variety of colors look nice, including Ruby or Garnet...there isn't a gemstone and few other stones, pearls, opals, rose quartz... that doesn't look pretty with a gold ring, for instance. :)

Thank you so much for your input. I do like that green color and did not even think about going that direction. I will have dark, more of a rustic look, on my wood floors and my ceilings and trim will be extra white. I will be adding other colors throughout my home so I would love to know the name of that green. I do not want to live in a beige, gloomy box that is why I was thinking of going with the Whole Wheat instead of Kilim beige as my whole house color from the builder and then pick complimentary colors to accent walls. Thoughts?

We chose Sherwin Loggia for my daughter's whole house. I really like Loggia, might be a beige to consider. No pink or yellow undertone.
