    Here are Caroline's blocks!

Awesome blocks, Caroline! On my monitor, they look great. And your photo shows off the secondary pattern. Val picked out this block, which is perfect for spring!

Your background gray fabric is beautiful, and yes, it does look like two different shades. Gray is such a popular color right now, we wanted to add it to the lotto. I'm looking forward to seeing how this one comes together!

    Bump! :-)

I just finished cutting out my blocks. Now, I have a question. She instructs you to cut the squares into triangles and then sew. Is there any reason not to sew it first and cut into triangles?

    Hi bkay!

It is just another method for making a HST. You can sew first. I did - that way I didn't have to sew on the bias edge. Can't wait to see your blocks!

    Nice blocks, everyone! :-)

Bkay, You may want to consider using an Easy Angle ruler for HST, I can tell you it change my entire process. I have not followed the quilters cache for making HST since I learned the easy angle way...super easy. There are multiple you tube video's showing you how to use them, just search "using the easy angle ruler". It's worth the 7 dollars or so to get one and it will make HST fun to make. Feel free to email directly if you have a question.

    here are my April blocks.....

Here are my 3 blocks. Flat Stanley is visiting from PA and he supervised the creation of these blocks! Will mail them out on Monday.

Ok...I give up...what's the story with Flat Stanley? :/)

My niece teaches 2nd grade and one of the books they read is about a boy named Stanley who has a bulletin board fall on him while he's sleeping. When he wakes up he's fine but flat! So the kids and my niece all make a fFlat Stanley and then send him to people (she told me that one went to India, another to Ireland and one to a dad serving overseas). The recipient is then to take Stanley and write, take photos, share their daily life and send it back to the class. Stanley and I have been to the library, post office, the town museum and a card making class and he's only been here since Monday's! Stanley is keeping a journal and we'll return it with photos and some other stuff. He supervised my crafting day! We're planning a day in Vegas and maybe a ride to Death Valley (I live half way between both). Oh and Stanley has sent 2 postcards to the class sharing his adventures! That's Flat Stanley!

Gosh, Flat Stanley was around when DD was little- she's 33 now :-)

    Thanks for explaining

Looks like Flat Stanley enjoyed crafting with you. So sweet that you are playing along with the 2nd graders. Nice blocks!

And the winner is BKAY!!!!! For these lovely April Blocks

I hate to say this, but my two are missing from the photo....they are somewhere in the re-organization/ re-model fabric stash quilting world of mine.... I know they are here, but not sure just where those two are hiding. I'll send all once found or remake them next week.

Congratulations Barbara, I hope you enjoy these lovely blocks!

    Yay, Barbara. Congratulations.

    Congratulations!

I'm in no hurry, Val. I have several projects going already.

    Don't remake them.

    You'll find them.

Thanks so much everyone! I never thought about making a purple quilt, but now I'll get to.
