Centering Range Hood

When centering my range and hood between a window and beam do I measure from the window opening or casing?

Thank you so if I understand you correctly between the casing (once installed) and beam

Will that also center it over the range?

What kind of Pro are you??? And where is the KD in this? The one who designed the plan? Because you have to worry about the range position first. And clearances for cabinets and combustibles. The math does not compute with the image. Someone can’t measure.

CENTER over the RANGE. Period : ) I hope that isn't the spot, or that cabinet to the right in photo is temporary, as I can not for the life of me see how that will work...........let alone a drawer.

    What do you normally "build"?

Deeply concerned that a "builder" doesn't even know how to take measurements

Wow so many critics, My question was answered kindly by the first response. Thank you,

FYI this is my home, a farmhouse built in 1787 everything is crooked.....we are doing a kitchen renovation on a budget, the stove will align correctly with the range hood, not to worry, the blind cabinet the drawer/door were installed on the wrong side by the cabinet maker, easy swap.

I am a purchaser for a contractor in NH, they are not doing the work so please don't associate your opinions of my home renovation with my employer. I was asking for some advise from my peers.

    Thank you all.

“please don't associate your opinions of my home renovation with my employer”

It is you who have done that. Perhaps then you should remove the "Pro" label from your Houzz profile. If you had explained yourself in your OP, rather than appearing to be your employer, a building company, and having the title of Pro with your photo, you would not have had the criticism.

Though even after your explanation, I am still not understanding your comment about swapping the new cabinetry on the right of your photo, facing the range, a fire hazard. Why would the cabinet maker put it there in the first place, thinking that was the correct spot for it.

How would anyone know any of your embellished information from the post?

You asked. You got. Unless you inform? You will get "opinion" based on the information you provided. From peer and pro alike.

Nobody was judging your home. They were judging the reliability of the skill and knowledge for install based on the question.

It's the Internet. Not a collective of mind readers.

Your question was not answered by the first post. ..... :)

I have a question - if the range is going to be in the spot shown in the photo in the OP, should the receptacle that is to the right of the window be in that spot, i.e., it seems it is within the same combustible area of the range?
