Stuck, exterior curb appeal

I'm stuck on trying to decide what to do with the exterior. Thinking a darker grey would be a good exterior color. Also, upgrade the retaining wall to stone maybe? Debating about a burgundy/red or navy blue door (currently a light blue/grey). The Roof is a darker grey. I am completely stuck on what to do for landscaping. Ideas? Suggestions? neighbors houses are dark green and yellow.

If it's aluminum siding then changing the colour isn't a cheap option. You could possibly paint the window trim a contrasting colour. As for your door, both colours are nice but without a front on shot of your current door, I have no idea.

If you're considering a new retaining wall, then add a nook for your recycle and trash bins next to the porch and put a gate on it to disguise them. Right now, due to their position and colour, they are a focal point-- which is probably not what you want.

It is aluminum. Is white a bad choice, I feel like it will show dirt easily. also, how long does paint last on aluminum siding (it is currently starting to wear in a few spots)? would replacing the siding be a better option (and sell the old siding for aluminum weight?)? Thanks for the help!!

based on that, I'm sticking with keeping it, I'll have to chat with some paint guys on if they would be able to change color. don't mind the garbage or shovel, but here's a pic of the door currently

If you stay with a white house, I think I'd go for a blue door-- but not navy, something brighter.

Honestly - I'd stick with white. What you really need is some foundation plants and landscaping. Change out the wrought iron posts for more substantial wooden posts. A new storm door that has a larger window or screen in it. The stone retaining wall is a good idea. I think navy would look good on your door, especially with a few pots/planters of red geraniums on either side.
