Hello,

I recently got quotes on installing new AC unit and replace my old furnace.

re. the AC unit, Trane 4TTR4048L1000A vs Carrier 24AAA548A003, I am wondering which one is quieter?

I like both contractors, both seem know what they are talking about, and has good yelp reviews.

I also read about the quieter models of the Trade and Carrier, I am wondering whether they are worth the extra cost?

Trane XV20i TruComfort™ Variable Speed: As low as 57 db

Carrier Infinity® 19 Variable Speed: As low as 56 db

The quote on Trane is 2k higher than Carrier.

thanks,
