I would go with the smaller one, only because there is a wall on the left that looks like it is pretty close, and a wider console might interfere with the traffic path in that hallway area.

Try cutting a piece of cardboard (or paper) to the size you are considering, and place it on the floor to see how it affect the traffic path. If the console is only 15" or 16" deep, then the wider one should be okay as well.

I echo pandtkendall's preference for the wider console.

You may prefer one view in the elevation and then find out that it does not work in the floor plan. It is critical to check the amount of space you have for the hallway to the left. I would prefer the console to be centered on the wall instead of off to the right as illustrated.

Can you provide the measurement between the console wall and the wall in front of it to the left? If it is 4 feet or more, there should be no problem with the wider console.

If you center a 64" x 16" console on that wall, you will be left with slightly less than 32" of clearance for the path. A full 36" would be preferable, and you would get that with a 47" x 16" console. Personally, I think you need the space if that path is used quite a bit.
