Paint Remodeling Kitchens

Help with painting the kitchen myself!

We decided to paint ourselves to save money....but we are having the HARDEST time getting it right around the cabinets. Our contractor didn’t give us time to paint the below before he installed the cabinets and now it is torture. I cannot get a straight line even with blue tape. I can’t even get the tape on the wall straight!!! Any suggestions besides hiring a professional? Are there any special tools that help with trim lines and borders?!

My Favorite trick from painting many houses, including a 2000 square-foot farmhouse with ridiculous corners and trim, is to use one of these long metal shield as a guide, so for example you would press it up against your cabinet, and then carefully cut in a line using a good brush. My favorite brush is this short handled one, the handle itself is silicone, so it’s very easy to hold close to where you need to trim.
