HI Caitlin! Are you considering shading the triangle transoms?

I actually haven't put much thought into that. it's so high up, I didn't think to do anything with them. the door has a window that is see through and I would like to somehow cover that up, but also try and have some kind of symmetry with the other window.

Here's a great example of two different size windows with the 'same' treatment.

Keeping consistent with fabric will help with the symmetry that you want.

Check this out. A looooong and narrow with a wider window with the same treatment. This is a woven wood. I do believe if you pick the same fabric for each, you'll love the look!

Thanks, that's a great idea! one of my concerns was that it's the front door where I'll be coming and going. I want something that will work for the space, but still have curtains of some kind. Would it be weird to have curtains over the door?

Drapery over a door will prove to cause issues. That's why I recommended shades. Shades can mount to the door. Drapery will be 'sucked' thru the door when the airflow is disturbed, when opened.
