My home already has crown molding, chair rail with shadow boxing in the dining room and living room. I am now adding crown molding to the two-story foyer, and shadow boxing through the small center hall, powder room which is connected, and up the stairs. I am nervous that it will be too much. I plan to keep furnishings simple so that the feel is contemporary within the traditional architecture. The living room and dining room are both visible from the foyer. One room to the left and the other to the right.
