Hi Carol this is the sage https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvia_apiana. would like to know if anyone is growing this in South Florida and maybe where I can find a few plants/cuttings to purchase.

Hi Bradisha, I guess nobody is growing white sage in humid South Florida. It grows wild around Arizona and if the use is for ceremonial purposes, I am afraid there is no substitute with other sage. I always have it in the house and I buy it dry.

Hi Silvia Yes I think it would only thrive in a dry climate. It would have been nice to be able to have it growing in the garden. I will go the route of buying the sage leaves to create my own smudge stick for my home

I bought some and grew it in balmy North Carolina. I think if you grow it in a pot so you get it up off the ground to increase airflow it might work. I was going to try it on a pot on my lanai.

The seeds have a horrible germination rate but I bought a baby plant. It grew fine for me in NC until the voles got it. :(

It was a few years ago so I won't swear to it but I think I bought it from this supplier.
