Two questions about applying pre-emergents. Here in eastern MA we've been so cold I just started to see the forsythia bloom a few days ago. If I apply a pre-m this weekend, will that be too late? The plants are not fully bloomed, only the tops have started.

Also, what's a good pre-m I can pick up at a big box store? Is Scott's Halts Crabgrass and Grassy Weed Preventer a decent option? I have a TTTF/Rye/KBG mix.

Lastly, I've got some moss growing in my lawn I'd like to take care of. Can this be applied at the same time as the pre-m?
