great blooms

My cymbidium season is earlier. Here's one from October:

and here's one from January, although it started blooming in December:Some people in my neighborhood plant them in the ground in the front yards, but I've kept mine in pots so that I can move them around more easily, and also to protect them from slugs/snails.

A friend who is moving from San Diego to Michigan (to take care of her aging parents) gave me some new ones, and some of those are about to bloom, which would be the only spring blooming cymbidiums I have.

One of the only reasons I'd ever want to live in California.

Nanelle, do you know what variety that is? I have several just like this, that I bought at estate sales.
