Thanks, Silvia! My nasturtiums are in a hydroponic tower since I have no usable ground, so no chance for reseeding.

I've tried to grow nasturtiuims here back when I first moved in, but they didn't even come up. Now that the soil is better, I'm going to try them again from seed. If that doesn't work, I may buy a few starter plants.

writersblock, I'll bet that tower is going to be GORGEOUS when they start cascading down.

Yeah, I have very little success starting them from seed. You do know you're supposed to score them and soak them overnight before planting? Though that never helped for me, I must admit.

But they do like the tower. This was a seedling with one true leaf in January (sorry for the out-of-focus pic):

And I've been harvesting masses of it the past week or two to fend off the flu, which seems to have worked. But it's getting to the time when it will be too hot and humid for them soon enough.

Writersblock, those nasturtiums look pretty! and you are right pretty soon it is going to be too hot for them.

D, sometimes soaking them overnight helps and nick them a little bit the next day, start them in small pots to be sure they come up. In your area if you put them in a shady location they might last longer.

Thanks, Deb. I've tried it all different ways and none of them seem to work for me where seeds are concerned, but as you see, the seedlings like it here. :)
