Are you asking from a resale point of view?

If so, it will turn off a lot of buyers in my area. Your area may be different. Check with your Realtor. See how lack of a shower in the Master Bath affects sales and value. In my area you can get away with no tub in the master and a shower only, but not the reverse (tub only and no shower).

It's totally up to you - it's your bathroom. From a resale point of view, it's probably a bad thing, but unless you're planning on selling in the next 10 years or so, get the bathroom you want.

Like previous comments, shower in mb is better as most adults shower and not bathe, depends if you're going to stay there long or not. Resale is better with shower. But you could do a bath shower combo (although as a bather, I hate having to clean the tub to take a bath). Lots of different ideas out there. But in the end, it's your bathroom and you have to love it.
