Thanks Paul. That is what I wondered too. So either this is the white miniature and the picture, plus 'floribunda' is wrong, or it is a pink floribunda and the name is wrong. Does the rose in the picture look familiar to you?

The photo screams "Gallica" to me, or maybe a Hybrid Perpetual. Its hard to say much from a photo of a photo printed on cheap card stock ;-)

Paul, I've got to tell you what another gentleman suggested on National Gardening forum where I also posted this mystery. "Peel back the white tag" he said. "See what it says underneath." Well with considerable effort I did just that and in reverse lettering we have 'Reine de Violettes'! That makes sense wouldn't you say? Of course, this rose is bud grafted onto likely Dr. Huey. So I've planted it in a pot and mounded the soil over the graft to try and encourage the actual rose to send out some roots.

The comments that 'Reine de Violettes' is nearly thornless. The rose I have does have some thorns on the canes. Not a lot, but they're there. So...???

Yes I bought the same one also frost damaged or may dried out while in the plastic bag. Brought it back as it did not show any life and found the same that was shooting out a bit. Right now it is 10" high and has some very small buts on it and may be a mini rose.
