Hi Maysa, thanks for the question. My apologies for the delay in getting back to you. We custom-built the hood surround, it utilizes a wood frame, a hood liner, and a faux wood beam. Once plastered a very talented faux finisher (I wish I could remember their name but this was more than 20 years ago!) created the beautiful decorative finish that you see on the hood and the walls.
