Consumer's just gave them their top most rating, but let
me show you what they did to my dishwasher in a very short time. I have a 2016 Miele dishwasher and have been using 1/2 of a Miele tablet in each wash. However they are quite pricey (even
though I cut each tablet in half) and after reading the stellar review
for Kirkland, I decided to buy a package and give it a try.

My dishes and cutlery emerged beautifully cleaned, however after about a 3-4
weeks of use (not daily-- there's often just the two of us) the dishwasher
gave me a message to check the filters. I was very unhappy with what I
found.

Normally the filter might at the most have a little
bit of food debris or perhaps part of a paper label from a jar that I
washed. But this time the fine screened part had a white chalky color and the heavier metal top had bits of what I assume to be the dissolved gel wrapping
stuck in little clumps. If I used my finger nail I could pull it off and
it was slightly stringy. My husband suggested running another load on
sani cycle (with a Miele tablet) to see if that would melt off the
residue. Sorry to report it did not help. Thankfully I was able to use a soft
toothbrush to remove most of the powder stuck to the mesh screen. My
nails and the toothbrush coupled together allowed me to remove the dried gel. Needless to say, I will be returning the remainder of the pods (2/3 of the container) to Costco for a refund. If I decide
to give up Miele tablets, I'll be using 1 tablespoon of Cascade Complete
powder, just as I did before finding Miele tabs. I'm very disappointed in
Consumer's. Mine cannot be the only dishwasher to have such a poor outcome.
