Sage variant?

Grew this sage from seed and it has really taken off. It has several flower spikes which have purplish buds but don’t really flower in the way that I’ve seen other sage. Also, the leaves seem more narrow than the broad ones I’ve seen sold as plants at garden centers. Is this a particular variant?
