I ordered 2.3 ft x 9ft rug for my foyer. It doesn't work because my door is oddest from the stairs. Should I order one that's 3 ft wide or go for a horizontal rug in front of the door. My foyer is a little over 10 ft long.

I do plan to add a shoe cabinet or bench like the one shown near the steps
