In terms of looks only, I like Rejuvenation plus two Acorn sconces(you need two on the sides, right? do you have enough space? it has to be min 6 inches from the corner I think..and obviously you need electrical box to sit on a stud. and enough space between a light and a mirror. Etcetera. Check it all well, so you don't find the last moment you actually have to go with overhead lighting, and need to change the mirror, and all that jazz)

I like how they are rounded and repeat the sink a bit. Also the light will be flattering, with white glass of Acorn.

Do you have enough storage/option for it somewhere else in the bathroom? Is it a powder room? how many use it on daily basis?

    Thanks April!

It’s a small main bathroom 5 x 7. No storage other than medicine cabinet and there’s only room for one overhead light. I use it to get ready for the day. Basically I’m trying to decide what would look better. Here’s a before...

Do you have much storage in your bathroom? I hardly have any plus I also have a pedestal sink (the only sink that will fit). Have you considered a storage/medicine cabinet with mirrors? I have one and I absolutely love it! Here is what I'm talking about:

The one I have has french doors and a mirror on each door. The 3 slots below the cabinet came with 3 white wicker baskets which are perfect for holding small personal items. They still have the one we purchased at Lowes!

    Thanks for the suggestion Bev!

I do have a recessed medicine cabinet to the right of the sink. I also have a linen closet just outside the bathroom door. I just grab my makeup bag and hair stuff as I enter the bathroom.

Unfortunately, there isn’t room for side sconces. Thanks for the suggestions!

I like mirror #1 and light #2. Consider doing a double light fixture, maybe just changing out the glass on the one you have.

In your limited space I'd go for a very narrow mirror in a traditional style, and 2 very skinny sconces. With your 5 x 7 space, it looks like the sink and toilet are probably on the 5' side of the room. With 30" for the toilet, that leaves just 30" for the mirror and sconces, so if the sconces are taking up 6" each of space (4" wide sconce with an inch on each side), that leaves you 18" for the mirror width.

Another way to handle this space would be to remove the pedestal sink, and put in a 28 to 30" wide vanity with a banjo countertop such as you see in the photo below going over the top of the toilet and the vanity. This gives you the opportunity to run a mirror wall to wall and from the banjo top to the ceiling. This would make your tiny bathroom look much larger and would give you a good mirror for your makeup routine. You could put one of the sconces near the right hand wall (mounted on the mirror) and the other near the left wall. Or you could use pendant lights from the ceiling, or recessed lights such as are shown in the photo.

    Thanks tq!

Those two were my original choices, here is my inspiration pic...

Then, I saw the acorn light and like April, thought about mimicking the lines of the sink. I should have stopped looking!

My current light fixture is 16 years old and is starting to rust. The two light fixtures just look so bath-roomy.

I think an oval mirror with a fairly slim gold frame would look beautiful in there and not overwhelm the room.

I actually adore the Anette Library Light and your inspiration photo shows how well it would work in your bathroom, giving you plenty of space for a mirror. I prefer the first mirror you showed, tho agree that mirror 2's curves repeat the curves on the pedestal sink...tough choice.

    Thank you Carolyn!

My toilet is right next to the tub. There is only 53” of space between the tub and the wall for the toilet and sink.

Wow, so the tub, toilet, and sink are on the 7' wall. What's on the 5' wall? Usually 30" is the required minimum space for a toilet, leaving you only 23" for your sink. So all the more reason to use a single light over the sink, but if it's the only light in the room, you may need a "bath bar" type light with multiple bulbs.

I agree with WalnutCreek Zone 7b/8a Great suggestion! You could pair the gold frame on the mirror with one or two of our brass wall

sconces https://www.douniahome.com/collections/wall-sconces?page=2  I think it would look terrific!
