Can the legs be removed?

I might need to put longer legs on. I have the idea to leave one set of legs folded, and place onto sofa (with cushions removed) to make a sort of sofa bed, but sofa "bed" height is 12 inches. Thanks.

    The two sets of "swing arm" legs at the head and foot can be removed, but the center legs can not be removed because they hold the two platforms together. Hope this makes sense.
