Fantastic! It is obviously literally ‘at home’. How I wish I could do that!

How do you water it? Is it resting on top of spagnum moss or some water retaining base?

I was thinking of putting my Epiphyllum pot at the bottom of a dwarf apple tree so it can climb. My Epis are getting longer and longer so I thought they would do better climbing up the mini tree. Is that what you did or just let them root on their own below the tree? How do you water?

Aloebot I SHOULD have wrapped in moss. But,I just found that epi on the ground in the backyard,in a broken clay pot..mostly eaten by slugs...I just grabbed a ladder and stuck it up in the tree. I didn't even know what color the bloom was since it it has been so long since I saw a bloom on it.

What a surprise that it took,and the bloom was super red. I should add moss..but from my experience? Orchid long fiber moss is so much better then the basket stuff.

KARA- I just water with a hose. Hand water. It sometimes goes drier then it should..I killed a Platycerium pup I put up there too since that tree does not have a very dense canopy. But Broms and Epi's are tougher stuff.

Apple tree? GREAT for all Epi's, Tillys,Orchids, and the rest. Especially old Apple tree's with rough trunks.

Dragon fruit will climb. The smaller Epi's? I'm not sure if they will climb unless its one known to do that. Try it!
