I would agree that you might want to explore options a bit more. These are cool kitchens with the bright white, gray, and cool brown, and that could feel very dreary with a NW exposure in a rainy climate. We’re building a NW exposure kitchen in the Pacific Northwest and are really working to make sure the kitchen is mostly light with warm tones mixed in. So as much as we love gray (we’re those crazy people who liked it before it was in), we vetoed it. We’re looking at a mix of warm white and wood tones in our case.

The white is actually quite warm, though it looks stark in the render! This is it with the gray option. Any warmer and it would be cream.

I love the all dark one. Very rich looking.

Before you go further, I would seriously consider getting your kitchen vetted in the Kitchen Forum. I see a few problems including having the cooktop too close to your column so you can't put utensils and food on either side of the cooktop. So close may also be a safety issue if the column is wood.

This needs to go to the Kitchen Forum with a floor plan showing dimensions and adjacent rooms with doors and halls to assess work flow.

The dark finish option will look dated in a short time. It already looks dated to me...

I’m happy with the kitchen itself. The workflow is good. The German kitchen company (we’re in Europe) who designed it did a good job. There is enough space between the hob and the post, it just looks small as the kitchen is big. The pole is not wood. In any case, the electrics and plumbing are in place.

An opinion on the colours would be great.

i'd either go with the dark island and white cabinets, if you want a white back splash... or go all white, with a very colorful backsplash.

Dark finish, light finish- this kitchen won't look dated (in short time) because of either of those. It's because it looks like 10,000 others in the same area. Put some personality in it, hopefully through back splash and wall color. Then we're talkin'

I like the all dark cabs although make sure you have really good lighting. If you decide to go all white, make sure and put punches of color with a few accessories as and different bar stools (so no white ones). I'd stay away from the 2 tone one.

Maybe you would not prefer my opinion. I am glad your white is a warm color. With that in mind, I love a warm white but do not care for very dark cabinets, or stark white cabinets or those mixed. Could you pick a color that is neutral that is not the grey that has been so popular? Or make all of your cabinets are an off-white or a neutral lacquer? Then I would like the marble and grey countertops, but I would like them even more if they were all in marble and then you could decide on a backsplash after you have those to look at. Maybe a thin linear stacked stone, slate, or??

I like them all except the dark island and wall units. My favorite is the one with the white counter and grey fronts- the first image on the second row.

why don't you consider an option w/wood? wood island, wood butcher block, or wood perimeter cabs would at least break up all the stark, cold feeling.

I am not a big fan of a dark kitchen, especially not if live somewhere with lots of overcast skies. I do like the mix of whites and wood, like the examples @Beth H posted. The kitchen remains light and bright, yet warm and inviting even with not a lot of sun.

coco, it's very difficult to consider your kitchen plan in a vacuum. If you posted the entire plan, we could see where the window locations are for your big open plan, where the forest views are, etc. Also, what sort of lighting are you considering and where?

Are you considering Ikea, Poggenpohl, Bulthaup, Warendorf, etc.?
