I did flat panel on all of the narrow top drawers and shaker on the larger bottom two drawers; my stacks were a uniform 3 drawers. I preferred the look of the centered handle on the flat narrow drawer over the centered handle on a narrow shaker.one. I think all three options/combos come down to personal preference.

In our kitchen, we did like rantontoo. Flat panel for the upper narrow drawers and shaker for the deeper ones. In our bathroom, we used shaker doors and all flat slab drawers.
