The white area is probably sunburn if you have taken them out to get some sun. Pretty easy to do, usually does not cause any problems other than slowing down the plant. Wind can also cause this. Just slowly give more sunlight. I try to start on a cloudy day. A cloudy day outside is much brighter than lights from inside the house.

Even leaving them outside under shade will help them adapt. Do protect from wind if possible. They have been babied inside and not use to the harsh conditions outside. But tomatoes grow more like weeds and can take a fair amount of abuse.

I have some plants that look like this. Its a combination of too much water and too much sun exposure too soon in my opinion. Let the soil dry out a bit before watering again, and maybe give them some dappled shade over the next couple days to recover. They will be fine.

Looks like sunburn to me, but I'm no expert. . I failed this year to harden my tomato seedlings off properly and raced to get them into the ground before an oncoming rain system came through...they had probably only two hours of hardening off time in the sun. Once in the garden they sunburned badly and looked much similar to yours. I was worried about them but they overcame it quiet nicely. They will overcome the burned leaves. When I planted them they were nice and green, then got those patching tan spots on them. Here's a current picture of mine...they're kind of at a distance, but you can seem out much they've grown and the greenness that they have. I think yours will be fine. :)
